Does anyone else think 10 mins is kind of too small amount of time for drops to disappear? I've seen IOP completely empty lately and lower lvl areas for solo too. It's not worth to farm in them any more since 1x HP mobs are useless if u have to pick after each one.

Contrary to what ppl think, drops do not cause lag. Many ppl have the wrong idea that an area full of drops lags the server or their PCs. This is actually wrong. If it's on your PC (check your FPS for the game), use alt + p or make sure u have GPU selected on your options, it's your video card that is not able to render many drops and u might get this kind of problem in many other areas and not caused by drops (for example epic bosses "rooms" can cause this same "lag" on your video card, same for sieges). It doesn't cause lag to server since... well... server is made to handle some drops. If idea is to stop server's lag, stop using skills and killing mobs, do not make any quest and don't move, it's the same weight of information being sent and processed (even more for mob killing Tongue ) A few drops on the map do not move the needle on a game server handling as many requests as players are on the game.

I'd like to know what community thinks. Maybe take it to around 1hs or so u can kill for some time then pick? This way the floor would be "clean" but ppl would still be able to kill more than very few mobs before picking Tongue

If u wanna flame -> flame section is your friend. Keep this one clean plox.

Somewhere, in this forum, I've read that the 10' limit is a official feature.

If it is so, then this server is likely to include that feature, regardless if it is
usefull or not.

If it is not that way, then I agree with you.

It is a Retail feature, however its a feature that was added with many others regarding drops that where not implemented in order to balance things we should not have one feature out of several, things just wont go right, besides the economy in retail servers is completely different, it exists for several years more and has thousands more players in it it can take this 10 minute drop disappearanc e and survive w/out a scratch, here we are not a several years old server with a constant multi-thousand player base i believe that the amount of drops that will disappear will actually be a blow in the server's economy and will spike the price of certain items, also making it harder for newer players to farm S80 in IoP as you would need to pick every 5 minutes or so.  Please note this is just my opinion and that what i made are projections, those can easily be either right or wrong.
I do however support that this drop rule should either be removed or the time extended to fit within the server's specific needs.

Well was added on the latest update on retail. Even tho server tries to be as much as retail as possible, each server has small "differences". It's a long way to be 100% retail-like, specially with as many chronicles going on around, that it ends up being a mix of every chronicle. For example, about drops, normal weapons should drop and not only common ones is in the same update as the 10 mins drops.

It's an idea, I know it's "retail-like" but it wouldn't be bad sticking to one set of "retail-like" (call it chronicle or wtv u wanna since it's always being patched) instead of a big mix, specially on the case when it can be something not much "helpful" while missing other updates.

Also, not all official servers have that much "history"... Gustin is one example...

Still the player base is bigger and the other changes that kind of counterbalan ce this one are implemented =)

+1 to Ashenarya, drops does not cause lag and 10min is quite few time, especially for x1 mobs.
But as it is an official feature, it would be just a favour to make it.

I like this new feature, 10min is more than enough to pick up your stuff if u want.
This is not a solo game, make party, and buffers/healers will pick up the drop, if u cant.
btw, this is an official feature, so... this is a pointless topic.
